Legal
Terms of Use
Effective date to be confirmed before service launch.
These Terms of Use form a legal agreement between you and Trove Capital Transfers Ltd. concerning your access to and use of Trove, including the website available at trovein.com, your Trove account, and any related payment, transfer, currency, support, or account services we make available.
Trove is the consumer-facing brand operated by Trove Capital Transfers Ltd. In these Terms, “Trove,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Trove Capital Transfers Ltd., unless the context requires otherwise. “You” and “your” refer to the individual or organization accessing or using Trove.
By creating an account, accessing Trove, or using any Trove service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, together with any additional terms or disclosures presented for a particular service. If you do not agree, you must not use Trove.
Please read these Terms carefully. Certain provisions limit liability, describe circumstances in which transactions may be delayed or declined, and explain your responsibilities when using Trove.
1. About these Terms
“Trove” means the consumer-facing website, account platform, applications, features, and services operated by Trove Capital Transfers Ltd. In these Terms, “Trove,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Trove Capital Transfers Ltd., unless the context requires otherwise. “You” and “your” refer to the person or organization accessing or using the services.
Additional service-specific or regulatory information may be presented during registration or within your account where it applies to the service you are using.
If additional terms apply to a particular service, transaction, promotion, or payment method, those additional terms form part of your agreement with us. If there is a conflict, the more specific terms generally apply to the relevant service.
2. Eligibility
You may use Trove only if you meet the eligibility requirements displayed during registration and are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. Unless Trove expressly permits otherwise, you must be at least 18 years old.
You may not create or use an account if:
- You are prohibited from using the services under applicable law.
- You are located in a country or region where the relevant service is unavailable.
- You provide false, incomplete, misleading, or outdated information.
- You are acting on behalf of another person without authorization.
- We previously suspended or closed your account and have not authorized you to create another one.
- Your use would violate sanctions, financial-crime, fraud-prevention, or other applicable requirements.
Available services may differ based on your country, account type, identity-verification status, transaction history, and other eligibility considerations.
3. Registration and account information
You must provide complete, accurate, and current information when creating and maintaining your account. This may include your legal name, date of birth, residential address, contact information, nationality, occupation, business details, tax information, intended account use, and other requested information.
You must update your information when it changes. We may rely on information associated with your account when processing transactions, communicating with you, or completing reviews.
You may generally maintain only the number and type of accounts permitted by Trove. You must not create accounts using false identities, temporary identities, another person’s information, or information that you are not authorized to use.
4. Identity verification and compliance checks
You authorize Trove and its service providers to verify information you submit and to perform checks reasonably required to provide the services, protect customers, prevent fraud, manage risk, and meet applicable obligations.
Verification may require:
- A passport, national identity card, driver’s licence, or another accepted identity document.
- Proof of residential address.
- A selfie, video, facial comparison, or liveness check where available and legally permitted.
- Information about your occupation, business, source of funds, source of wealth, intended account use, or transaction purpose.
- Information about recipients, senders, beneficial owners, directors, representatives, or related parties.
- Additional documents or explanations.
We may obtain or verify information through identity-verification providers, fraud-prevention services, payment partners, financial institutions, public records, sanctions lists, and other lawful sources.
Submitting information does not guarantee account or transaction approval. We may request updated or additional information at any time.
5. Account security
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, devices, passwords, recovery methods, and security codes.
You must:
- Use strong and unique credentials.
- Keep authentication information confidential.
- Prevent unauthorized access to your devices.
- Review account activity regularly.
- Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.
- Follow reasonable security instructions provided by Trove.
You must not share your account with another person or allow another person to use it unless an expressly supported account feature permits authorized access.
We may treat actions completed using your authenticated account as authorized by you unless you notify us of suspected unauthorized access and we determine otherwise under applicable law and these Terms.
6. Available services
Subject to eligibility and availability, Trove may allow you to:
- Send money to eligible recipients.
- Receive eligible payments.
- Hold supported currency balances.
- Convert between supported currencies.
- View transaction activity.
- Manage account and verification information.
- Use other features made available through your account.
Not every service is available in every location, currency, or account type. We may introduce, modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue a service where permitted.
Trove must not be described as a bank unless and until the relevant legal entity is legally authorized to use that description.
7. Supported currencies and destinations
Supported currencies, countries, payment routes, recipient types, funding methods, and receiving methods are displayed through the relevant service flow.
Availability may change because of legal requirements, partner availability, market conditions, risk considerations, technical issues, or business decisions.
Do not send funds using account details, currencies, payment references, or methods that are not expressly supported for that transaction.
8. Fees and exchange rates
Applicable Trove fees and exchange-rate information should be presented before you confirm an eligible transaction. You are responsible for reviewing these details.
An exchange rate may change between the time you begin and confirm a transaction unless Trove expressly states that a particular rate is guaranteed for a specified period.
Third parties — including banks, card issuers, payment networks, correspondent institutions, and recipient institutions — may impose charges outside Trove’s control. These charges may reduce the amount received or increase the total cost.
Taxes may apply depending on your location and transaction. You are responsible for your own tax obligations unless applicable law requires Trove to collect, withhold, or report an amount.
10. Recipient information
You are responsible for entering complete and accurate recipient information. Trove may not be able to recover money sent according to incorrect instructions.
Confirm recipient details independently, particularly when:
- A recipient changes payment instructions.
- A person claims an urgent payment is required.
- You receive instructions through an unfamiliar communication channel.
- You are asked to move money to protect an account.
- The transaction involves goods, investments, employment, prizes, taxes, romance, or cryptocurrency.
Trove is not responsible for the underlying agreement, goods, services, relationship, or dispute between you and a recipient, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
11. Funding transactions
Available funding methods will be shown during the transaction process. A transaction may not begin processing until cleared funds and required information have been received.
You must not fund a transaction using:
- A payment method you are not authorized to use.
- Funds derived from unlawful activity.
- A reversed, disputed, or fraudulent payment.
- A payment method with inconsistent ownership information, unless expressly permitted.
- A method that violates provider or network rules.
You remain responsible for valid charges, reversals, returns, disputes, chargebacks, negative balances, and related costs to the extent permitted by law.
12. Processing and delivery estimates
Any displayed delivery time is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise. Processing may be affected by:
- Payment clearing.
- Banking or payment networks.
- Recipient institutions.
- Incorrect or incomplete information.
- Compliance and fraud reviews.
- Requests for additional information.
- Weekends and holidays.
- Currency availability.
- Technical interruptions.
- Events outside reasonable control.
A transaction may remain pending while required checks are completed.
13. Cancelling or changing a transaction
A transaction may be cancelled or changed only when the relevant option is available and the transaction has not progressed beyond the stage at which cancellation or modification is possible.
Completed transactions may not be reversible. Contact us promptly if you identify an error, but contacting us does not guarantee recovery or cancellation.
Any refund or return may be affected by exchange-rate movements, third-party charges, payment-method rules, or applicable legal requirements.
14. Transaction and account reviews
We may review, delay, limit, reject, cancel, block, return, or request additional information about an account or transaction when reasonably required for:
- Identity verification.
- Fraud prevention.
- Sanctions screening.
- Anti-money-laundering controls.
- Risk management.
- Legal or regulatory compliance.
- Partner requirements.
- Technical or operational concerns.
- Protection of Trove, customers, or third parties.
We may be unable to disclose certain review details where disclosure is prohibited or could compromise security, risk controls, or legal obligations.
15. Prohibited activities
You must not use Trove to:
- Violate any law, regulation, court order, sanction, or legal obligation.
- Commit, facilitate, or conceal fraud.
- Launder money or finance unlawful activity.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Use another person’s account or payment method without authorization.
- Evade transaction limits, verification requirements, or restrictions.
- Conduct transactions involving prohibited goods, services, persons, organizations, or jurisdictions.
- Abuse promotions, referrals, refunds, disputes, or chargeback systems.
- Interfere with website or service security.
- Introduce malware, harmful code, automated attacks, or unauthorized scraping.
- Reverse engineer or misuse Trove technology.
- Provide false or misleading information.
- Use the service in a way that could cause harm to Trove, another customer, a partner, or a third party.
Additional prohibited-use rules may be introduced where necessary and must be made available before enforcement.
16. Account restrictions, suspension, and closure
We may limit, suspend, or close an account where permitted if:
- You violate these Terms.
- Required information is missing, inaccurate, or outdated.
- We cannot complete required checks.
- We suspect unauthorized, fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive activity.
- Continued service would create legal, regulatory, security, financial, or reputational risk.
- A payment provider or partner requires action.
- Your account remains inactive where closure is permitted.
- A service is no longer available in your location.
- We reasonably determine that continued service is not appropriate.
Where permitted and practical, we will provide notice or instructions concerning remaining eligible funds. We may retain funds or delay withdrawal where required by law, court order, dispute, negative balance, investigation, or other legitimate restriction.
You may request account closure after completing pending obligations and transactions. Certain information may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
17. Communications and electronic records
You agree that Trove may provide agreements, disclosures, statements, notices, receipts, verification requests, transaction information, and other communications electronically.
Communications may be delivered through the website, your account, email, text message, push notification, or another method associated with your account.
You are responsible for keeping your contact information current and maintaining access to supported devices and software.
Marketing communications will be handled according to applicable law and available preference controls. Essential service and account communications may still be sent when marketing has been declined.
18. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in the Privacy Policy.
By using Trove, you acknowledge that personal information may be processed as required to operate the services, verify identity, prevent fraud, process transactions, communicate with you, and meet applicable obligations.
19. Third-party services
Trove may rely on banks, payment processors, card networks, identity-verification providers, fraud-prevention providers, cloud-service providers, telecommunications providers, and other third parties.
Third-party services may be governed by separate terms. Trove is not responsible for a third party’s independent services, systems, availability, or conduct except to the extent required by applicable law or expressly stated in these Terms.
Links to third-party websites do not constitute endorsement.
20. Intellectual property
The Trove name, branding, website, software, designs, text, graphics, interfaces, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Trove and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Trove grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the services for their intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from protected materials except where expressly permitted by law.
21. Website availability and changes
We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, upgrades, security events, provider failures, network issues, and events outside reasonable control may affect access.
We may update website content, features, technical requirements, and supported services. Material changes affecting your legal rights will be communicated where required.
22. No financial, tax, or investment advice
Trove provides payment and money-management services. General website information does not constitute financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice.
You are responsible for determining whether a transaction or currency conversion is appropriate for your circumstances and for obtaining professional advice where needed.
23. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Trove provides the website and services on an “as available” basis and does not guarantee that every service, currency, transaction, or feature will always be available.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, obligations, or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
24. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Trove will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from use of the services, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss of data, where such exclusions are legally permitted.
Trove is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate instructions, unauthorized credential sharing, third-party institutions, unsupported payment methods, prohibited activity, or events outside its reasonable control, except where responsibility cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Any applicable financial cap, exclusions, and mandatory consumer protections will be inserted following jurisdiction-specific legal review.
25. Your responsibility for losses
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses and reasonable costs resulting from your material breach of these Terms, unlawful use of the services, fraud, intentional misconduct, or violation of another person’s rights.
This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer-protection law.
26. Complaints and disputes
Contact Trove through the Contact page if you have a complaint or dispute. Select Complaint as the enquiry category and provide the relevant details.
Applicable complaint-handling procedures, escalation rights, ombudsman information, arbitration provisions, court jurisdiction, and regulatory contacts will be added after the responsible legal entity and markets are finalized.
27. Governing law
The governing law and dispute forum will be confirmed following jurisdiction-specific legal review and communicated before service launch.
28. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect service changes, legal requirements, security needs, or operational developments.
Where required, we will provide notice before material changes take effect. The updated version will display a revised effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
29. Severability and no waiver
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
A failure or delay in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
30. Entire agreement and assignment
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable service-specific terms form the agreement governing your use of Trove.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written permission. Trove may assign its rights and obligations as part of a restructuring, financing, merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of services, subject to applicable law.
31. Contact
Questions, complaints, or notices relating to these Terms may be submitted through the Trove Contact page or by emailing support@trovein.com. Do not send passwords, security codes, or complete payment credentials by email.
